The St Vincent de Paul Society is a member and volunteer based organisation that has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years. The St Vincent de Paul Society is a leading provider of community support services and has close to 100 Special Works across the State in the areas of homelessness, mental health, disability, financial counselling, supported accommodation, food provision, refugees and migrants and addiction counselling.  Our work is funded by all levels of government, the generous support we receive from the community and our 250 Retail Centres across NSW.

About the Role  

The Administrative Assistant - LAC/Facilities & Assets will provide administration support to the Contracts Administrator.  The role will predominantly manage the Local Area Coordination property records using the Vision Property Management System (VPMS).  You will be fully trained to use this system, and in turn you will assist others to become familiar in using this system.  You will also support the administration of contracts for facility maintenance services, and other clerical support as may be required.   • General administration and customer service skills
  • Satisfactory written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a small team environment and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn new information system software packages
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage data and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to adhere to the mission and ethos of the Society

Employment Conditions

The conditions of employment are governed by the National Employment Standards, pay rate is $20.24 per hour.

Pre-employment Clearances

Prior to an offer of employment, preferred candidates will be required to complete the pre-employment checks that include two (2) reference checks, a Health Declaration and National Criminal History Check. You will also be required to present evidence of right to work in Australia.
