Service Overview

Sydney Archdiocese Central Council Disability Services (SACC DS) provide a stable and safe environment that supports people with disability to develop their confidence, life skills and independence. 

About the Role    

The NDIS Transition Support Officer will primarily be responsible for overseeing the implementation of NDIS plans and this will include:  developing communication strategies, preparing participants for NDIS planning;  educating staff members to implement the NDIS plans; developing and delivering relevant training/information sessions. The role is also responsible for the promotion and optimal engagement of SACC DS through educating stakeholders on related frameworks and systems.  Read more about this role.

What you need

  • Qualifications and/or prior experience in a project support role in the community sector, with experience in office administration and/or project management
  • Highly developed written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to a high standard of work and sound organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task
  • High level of IT competency, including the use of Microsoft Office programs, and experience in designing documents, spreadsheets and similar
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team on own initiative, managing competing priorities
  • A positive solutions focused attitude, with attention to detail and ability to meet tight and multiple deadlines
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel within the Sydney metropolitan area
  • Willingness to adhere to the Vision, Mission and Values of the St. Vincent de Paul Society NSW

Employment Conditions

The conditions of employment are governed by the Social Community Home Care & Disability Services Award (SCHCADS). The position is classified as Level 5 (transitional) and hourly rate range from $35.78 to $37.78 depending on qualifications.

Pre-employment Clearances

Prior to an offer of employment, preferred candidates will be required to complete the pre-employment checks that include two (2) reference checks, a Health Declaration and National Criminal History Check. You will also be required to present evidence of right to work in Australia.
